This Privacy Policy describes how the SEO Links application ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when a merchant installs and uses the App on their Shopify store. By installing the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Access and Store

To provide internal-linking functionality, the App accesses and stores the following:

• Store & account data: your store domain and the access token provided by Shopify during installation, used to operate the App on your behalf.
• Store content (read access): products, collections, pages, blog articles, and theme information, used to generate internal links. The App writes link data to your store's metafields.
• App configuration: the keywords, link rules, and settings that you create within the App.
• Anonymous usage analytics: click and impression events on internal links (a keyword identifier, the destination URL, the page URL, and a timestamp).

We do not collect personal information about your customers. Click and impression events are anonymous and do not include names, email addresses, payment details, or other personal identifiers.

2. How We Use Information

• To generate and display internal links on your storefront.
• To provide reports and analytics on link performance.
• To detect orphan pages and broken links.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the App.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties except as required to operate the App (our hosting provider) or to comply with the law. Data is transmitted to and from Shopify through Shopify's official APIs.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, and again when Shopify sends a shop data-erasure request (typically within 48 hours of uninstall), we permanently delete all data associated with your store. We support Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because the App does not store customer personal data, there is no customer information to return or erase for customer-specific requests.

5. Data Security

Data is stored on a secured server and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to operate the App. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Storefront Script & Cookies

The App's storefront component adds internal links to your pages and records anonymous click and impression events. It does not set cookies that identify individual visitors and does not track customers across sites.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
